Full Service Radiation Facilities Dedicated to Bringing the Latest Advances to our Patients
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and the USC/Norris Cancer Hospital is a full-service radiation therapy facility. The program treats a broad range of cancers from highly complex lesions to simple tumors. These include breast, head and neck tumors as well as brain and spinal cord tumors, lung tumors, orthopedic sarcomas, liver and pancreatic tumors, gastrointestinal, ocular, prostate and gynecologic tumors.
Our program is dedicated to excellence in providing advanced multidisciplinary care to cancer patients. We also focus on conducting clinical and basic science research that can result in the development of new cancer treatments, equipment, treatment accessories and techniques for the management of complex cancer cases.
Our history of innovation dates back several years. The Department of Radiation Oncology became involved in the minimally invasive approach to radiation therapy more than two decades ago and has accumulated one of the largest experiences in the country in treating benign and metastatic brain disease. In the past few years, we have expanded beyond our central nervous system (CNS) focus, using some of the latest technology to treat many disease sites. This proactive, assertive approach allows us to offer treatment to a wide range of cancers.
