Lung Cancer Program

The Lung Cancer Program at the USC/Norris Cancer Hospital is a comprehensive program combining progressive clinical and laboratory research in lung cancer with sophisticated imaging, advanced medical management and surgical expertise.  A multidisciplinary staff composed of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, radiologists and pathologists offer expertise in caring for individuals with a wide range of thoracic malignancies, providing care in a patient-centered, compassionate environment.  The program is focused on striving to improve outcomes of patients with lung cancer.

The program is headed by lung cancer specialist Barbara J. Gitlitz, M.D., director of Thoracic Oncology and associate professor of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.  With this expertise, the USC Lung Cancer Program may offer some patients direct access to some of the latest clinical trials.
