Case Study, March 2004: A 50-year old male patient with a history of colon cancer was diagnosed in May 1996. He received adjuvant therapy with 5-FU and levamisole. He did well until September 2001 when it was found that his tumor marker, CEA was rising. He underwent a CT scan, which eventually revealed metastatic disease in his liver and lung. Case Study, July 2004: A 30 year old male had a recent onset of shortness of breath. Work-up revealed a hemoglobin of 8.6 gm. Colonoscopy demonstrated a large fungating lesion in the cecum, which was found in the biopsy to be adenocarcinoma. There were three small polyps in the transvers colon - all less than 5 mm. Biopsy was consistent with tubulovillous adenoma. The descending colon and sigmoid were normal. . Read more
