The Verdict: USC’s a Winner

Tenet Healthcare’s two USC-affiliated hospitals, USC University Hospital and USC/Norris Cancer Hospital, received three awards in the prestigious Healthcare Marketing Report’s 23rd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards competition. 

With more than 3,900 entries submitted from every state in our nation and several foreign countries, the Awards are one of the oldest and largest healthcare advertising competitions.

USC received two Silver Awards and a Bronze in the Academic Medical Center category for work produced by our ad agency, Swanson Russell Associates.  “Our advertising mirrors the incredible talent of our physicians and staff,” says Jennifer C. Fagnani, administrative director of Marketing and Public Relations. 

The hospitals’ “Best Doctors” magazine ad, which was developed by USC Care to promote the private physician practices, won a Silver Award.  Radio advertising pulled in Silver and a Bronze award.  The single radio spot, “Cardio Vascular” that promotes minimally invasive heart surgery received a Silver Award.   The radio ad series marketing the hospitals’ Breast Center, CyberKnife for lung cancer, cardiovascular surgery, internal medicine, prostate cancer treatment, and Transfusion-Free Medicine & Surgery Service was awarded a Bronze prize.
